The Hampton Court Half is a half marathon run over a fast, flat and visually interesting course that borders the river-side grounds of the magnificent Hampton Court Palace to the South West  of London. Now in its second year we believe it is a useful addition to the pre-Spring marathon training timetable as well as being an enjoyable event in its own right.

Runners have a full view of the Palace as they cross over Hampton Court Bridge before passing down Barge Walk into the historic Marketplace of Kingston upon Thames. The return loop takes runners along the opposite bank of  the Thames to finish in the picturesque village of Thames Ditton.

The course runs on pavement, shared pedestrian/cycle track, river path from Hampton Court to Kingston Bridge , tarmac paths through parks and on woodland trails. The race starts at 08.30 a.m.  giving  runners a clear run in light traffic on sections run on open public road. There are good local parking facilities, toilets and an indoors baggage area at the Race HQ at Esher College.
